Hysteroscopy
A minimally invasive procedure to examine and treat problems inside the uterus that may affect implantation.
Purpose
Hysteroscopy is used to directly examine the uterine cavity and manage abnormalities that can interfere with implantation or pregnancy. It can be diagnostic (to check the cavity) and, when needed, operative (to treat findings in the same procedure).
Purpose: Evaluate and treat intrauterine abnormalities.
Helps identify cavity issues such as polyps, fibroids, adhesions, or a septum that may affect fertility outcomes.
Often recommended before IVF/IUI if uterine cavity factors are suspected.

Procedure
A thin camera is passed through the cervix to inspect the uterine cavity and treat abnormalities if found.
Preparation
Timing is planned based on your cycle and symptoms. The procedure may be done in a clinic setting or OT depending on complexity.
Uterine Cavity Inspection
Thin camera inserted through cervix to inspect the uterine cavity under direct visualization.
Treatment (If Needed)
Polyps, fibroids, or adhesions removed if needed during the same hysteroscopy using specialized instruments.
Recovery & Next Steps
Most patients go home the same day. Findings are reviewed and the next fertility step is planned.

Benefits and Evidence
