Hormonal Evaluation
A blood test panel to assess testosterone and key reproductive hormones that influence sperm production, libido, and fertility outcomes.
Purpose
Male fertility is closely linked to hormone balance. Hormonal evaluation helps identify endocrine causes of low sperm count, poor sperm production, low libido, and erectile dysfunction, and guides the right medical or ART plan.
Assesses androgen and reproductive hormone balance related to sperm production.
Helps identify hormone-related causes of infertility and supports targeted treatment planning.
Often recommended in low sperm count, azoospermia, libido/ED concerns, or unexplained infertility.
Tests Included
a. Testosterone
Purpose: Assesses androgen levels for sperm production and libido.
Low levels: Associated with low sperm count and erectile dysfunction.
b. FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone)
Purpose: Evaluates spermatogenesis; high FSH suggests impaired sperm production.
c. LH (Luteinizing Hormone)
Purpose: Stimulates testosterone production.
d. Estradiol (E2)
Purpose: Maintains hormonal balance; imbalance can suppress spermatogenesis.
e. 17-Hydroxyprogesterone (17-OHP)
Purpose: Screens for congenital adrenal hyperplasia affecting androgen synthesis.
